I am four years old and, so far, an only child, but I am not spoiled. I think. Mommy tells me that I am lucky because I have many people who love me both on the West Coast and the East Coast.

how was your 4th of July?

I had a busy weekend. I went to see Aunt Teresa and family with Mom and Dad for a while on Saturday. That was fun. I even said "thank you" for the first time. Sunday, Mom and I just kinda hung out. We were not feeling all that well. Mom bought me 4 bananas on Sunday morning, and I ate 2 of them almost immediately. We went to Trader Joe's, and then Mommy called her boss to say she was feeling bad and would take Monday off. We played in my pool for a while. I wanted one of my toys, so I pointed and said "please". Mommy was so happy that I most certainly got to play with the toy. I took really good naps on Monday. Mom cleaned out the fridge of food that has gone past the point of no return. I ate 2 more bananas, so we had to walk to the store to get more. And on the 4th of July, I did not nap well at all! Poor Mommy! We went to the park and went on the slide and the swing. We took 3 walks! After I woke from my second nap, Mommy and I went to Grandpa's house. Mommy took a picture of me in my shades with her camera phone and sent it to Daddy's cell phone so he had a pic of me to look at while he was working. (Later, Daddy criticized Mommy's technique, but geez). I enjoyed the BBQ. I also danced with Mommy and my cousins in one of the bedrooms. Mommy put me up in the tree for a minute with some of the other big boys. Snickers was barking at other dogs, so Mommy had to tell him to hush. Before all the bigger fireworks started, some boxes of snappers (you throw them on the ground and they snap) were distributed to all the kids. Mommy showed me how they work. She was so proud of me because I did not eat any and I threw them well. If one did not explode, then she would lift me up and put me down so that I stepped on it (I did have shoes on) and made it work. It was getting close to my bedtime, so Mommy and I made the rounds and said goodbye to people. Aunt Teresa walked us to the car, and she talked to Mommy for a while. I don't think it was nice of her because Mommy cried a lot after we left. She did pull it together to put me through my bedtime routine though.
