I am four years old and, so far, an only child, but I am not spoiled. I think. Mommy tells me that I am lucky because I have many people who love me both on the West Coast and the East Coast.

My first word

Well, I did it folks. On Saturday, I crawled over to Daddy, pulled myself up on his pantleg, looked up at him and said "Dada". He didn't hear me, but he saw Mommy's face. Then he read her lips to see what happened and he picked me up and hugged me hard.

I also ate and slept better than I usually do at home. I guess I am giving Mommy a break especially since she hoped "Mama" would be my first word. Although I do call out "Mamamamamama" when I am in my bed and don't want to be.

Believe it or not, folks, my dog is getting very jealous of the time and attention I get from Mom and Dad. It is all of a sudden, and Mom and Dad are puzzled by it. After I snuggled with Mom and went to bed, my doggie jumped up in her lap and wanted to be snuggled the same way. At least that is what I was told since I had already gone to bed. Hmmm...Grandma also wants me to write out a Christmas list. Time to peruse Toys R Us catalog!

um, dude, congratulations on the first word and all, but if you say "mamamamamama" in the crib....your first word is mama. don't let your mother put "dada" as the first word in your baby book. i hear that follows you to college and is a part of your Permanent Record.
