Welcome to My Blog

I am four years old and, so far, an only child, but I am not spoiled. I think. Mommy tells me that I am lucky because I have many people who love me both on the West Coast and the East Coast.

I'm leaving on a jet plane....

to NY tomorrow!! Grandma called this morning, and she said she can't wait to see me. Mom is busy packing and making lists so she doesn't forget anything. I spent some time Saturday AND Sunday with my aunt Teresa, uncle Chris, and my cousins Emma and Ian because they will miss me so much over Christmas. We had a blast playing with all sorts of toys. Ian is 6, and he was showing me how he dances and I thought it was soooo funny!
We are also getting a new furnace just like Karen did. Now I will be toasty warm everywhere I go!
I went to the doctor today for a follow-up on my ear infection. My ears are clear so no more yucky medicine. I got my 2nd flu shot. I hate shots. I tried to pee on the nurse when I was getting weighed, but I just peed on myself. I now weigh 20 lbs 13 oz--can you believe it?
I am also standing unassisted for a few seconds at a time lots and lots. I like it, but I ended up landing on my nose on Saturday because I didn't catch my fall with my hands. That hurt. Mommy was on the phone with Grandma, and she hung up to see if I was okay.
Well, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone in case I don't get to use Grandma's computer! Don't forget that my birthday is not too far behind the upcoming holidays, so spend wisely!

Baby got new shoes!

Ok, not really shoes. Mommy calls them slipper boots because they look like boots but they are really slippers. She loves them because they are easy to get on, and I manage to keep them on for hours. She no longer has to worry about frostbit toes when we go to NY--in 8 days!! I talked to Grandma on the phone yesterday, and she is very happy. I am getting much better at walking my high chair around, and I am practicing standing without holding on to anything for a few seconds at a time a lot(getting good at it too if I do say so myself!). Mom and I have been spending a lot of time in the car lately, so we play a game to keep her occupied. I make a noise, and she has to copy me. She is pretty good at it except when I start screeching loudly. I think that is fun, but she says it interferes with her driving concentration. So she just grunts until I make an "appropriate" noise and then we keep playing. It's fun.

Crack in the library is bad, but craic is good (right, Conor in Ireland?)

My mommy said that I am not allowed to ever use the boy's room in her library. Some man was smoking crack there today and was caught by the security guard. She did not say what crack is or what smoking is, but I figure it is not a good thing from the way she was talking. Also, she said that my fake cousin Gracie went to see a much better Mr. Claus, so I think we are going to see that guy this weekend probably. Not much else new to report. 12 more days til I get lots of hugs and kisses from Grandma and Grandpa! I will miss my doggie and kitties at home though.

Busy weekend!

Hi again whoever is reading this. I did several things of note this weekend! First, I used my highchair (which has wheels) as a support and walked it all over the kitchen/dining area. Mom could barely contain herself. Then I finally figured out that Mama refers to my mommy and Dada refers to my daddy. I was playing in my room with Daddy when I started saying "dadadada" while looking at Mommy in the other room and my Mommy said "Conor, I'm Mommy. Say mama." So I did. And she shrieked with delight, so I did it again. Then I looked at Daddy and said "Dada", and he said "Yea" and clapped. It's fun! Later, Daddy went to his job guarding toys at Toys R Us, and Mommy and I went to one of the local malls but one of the run-down ones so it wasn't crowded. We shared a turkey sandwich (yum), but she did not give me any of her coffee. Then, I got to sit in the lap of this guy. He had way more facial hair than my daddy and he wore glasses and a big suit. Mommy said his name is Santa Claus. It was okay with me to sit there, but then Mommy went too far away from Mr. Claus, so I started crying. Luckily, one of the pictures was okay even though I wasn't smiling. I look like I didn't know what was going on which was actually the case truth be told! So we thanked Mr. Claus for holding me, and Mommy paid for the pictures and then I had a total meltdown and cried. Which is my way of manipulating Mommy to go home and snuggle with me and nurse me even though she said there was a store she wanted to look in. I tell ya, sometimes it is like taking candy from a baby. Hey, what kind of expression is that? Wahhhh........
just kidding! Wow, you people are gullible!

December is here....

and that means I will soon be visiting Grandma and Pepa. It is a beautiful sunny day after several days of rain. I will be going to a tree-trimming party tomorrow night--my first one! I like Dee and Russ--our neighbors--who are having the party. Russ likes to put me on top of his head, and I just laugh and laugh.
