Welcome to My Blog

Name:
Location: Sacramento, California, United States

I am four years old and, so far, an only child, but I am not spoiled. I think. Mommy tells me that I am lucky because I have many people who love me both on the West Coast and the East Coast.

Forgot to mention...

My mommy's uncle Gary died earlier this week. His services are today. Mommy is very sad. We are going to go to Albany on April 13th for a week to see Aunt Peg and give her hugs and kisses. Also to see Grandma and Grandpa and my aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ouch

I had my 14 month well baby check up yesterday. I am 22 lbs 10 oz and 31 inches tall! I am still in the 50th percentile for weight and head circumference but I jumped to 75th percentile for height. I keep getting more teeth. Jeepers. The doctor said I am very healthy. Then I got THREE shots in my arms. That really hurt. Stupid lady had Mommy hold me down. We both hated that.

Mommy went to see 2 daycare providers since Daddy allowed Mommy to cancel service with Karen and now someone else took my spot. This one lady kinda scared Mommy, but this other lady is pretty cool. I have an appointment on Thursday for her (Gloria) and the other kids to interview me to make sure I am a good fit there. Mommy is pretty stressed out over all this.

I have new skills

I have discovered the buttons on the tv that turn it on and off. Mommy did not appreciate this fine new skill. And I figured out something else although neither Mommy or Daddy know how I did it: I erased channel settings on the tv.

I also pretended Snickers' comb was a phone and said "hello". I also say "yeah". I said it a lot yesterday.

My rear end is much better, and I think I am going to keep using those expensive diapers. Mom asked me if I wanted some naked butt time yesterday, and she decided that I should go all naked outside in case I got in the mud. Then she could dunk me in a bath. It took me less than 30 seconds after pulling off my diaper for me to pee and poop in the house. I did pee outside again though. It was fun running around with no clothes. I kept chasing the dog. I think I am going to do this thing called "running" soon. I am really good at walking fast now.

41 posts so far!

Not much new going on. My butt looks better--mostly. I really have learned to hate getting my diaper changed and I kick and cry big tears until Mommy sings or hands me something to look at and throw (Uh-oh!). Speaking of "uh-oh", Maggie and I have been saying it so much that Logan (who is 10 months old) is now saying it too. Drives Karen nuts to hear 3 kids saying "uh oh" all day, but we think it is funny! My great-uncle Georgie died. I never met him, but Daddy says I have another angel in Heaven now. Oh, I remember something else I can post. When Mommy and I wake Daddy up so he can get me dressed while Mommy gets dressed, I like doing somersaults off the bed. Mommy says she has to help me or I will get hurt. But I don't let her get lazy, so I will do it without her unless she is quick. So far, she has been quick every single time! Good Mommy!

I can say a new word...

I was playing with the plastic spaghetti and sauce, and I threw it onto a chair at Karen's where I could not quite get it. So I said "uh-oh". Mommy thought one of the other kids said it because she has never heard me say it before. When she gave the spaghetti back to me, I did it again and said "uh-oh". I guess she is a little slow this morning (she ran out of coffee).

Also, I am in a new brand of diaper. I am using 7th Generation. Mommy says they are expensive, but my butt is worth it! She also told Karen the diapers remind her of the "Sugar in the Raw" packages because the diapers are a pale brown color. We are hopeful that my diaper rash goes away and stays away.

I hate diaper rashes..

My mother is at the end of her rope. My diaper rash came back, and my butt was bleeding. So she told the doctor's office that we were coming in. So now I am on an oral antibiotic and a topical antifungal. Mom seems to think my diapers (we changed brands) might be a culprit also, so she asked Dad to buy a different brand to see if that helps.

Last night, I had naked butt time in front of my cousins and Aunt Rose. I wasn't embarrassed at all, but I was tired and shy! I showed them how I walk and throw my orange ball. Then I wanted Mom to pick me up, so she did. And then my cousins and I played "tag you're it" (kind of like Hot Potato but we touch each other on the arm instead of passing an object.) I wasn't into it at first, but then I got over my shyness and it was fun.

I gave my Momma a kiss!

I finally gave my mom a kiss. We were playing in my room, and she went to kiss me as I walked by. So I thought I would give a little sugar back and planted a kiss on her lips. She was thrilled.

Teething sucks!

I am sick of teething. It makes me drool, and it hurts. I don't like eating. On the other hand, I got 3 bananas yesterday since that was about the only thing I wanted to eat.
I went to Karen's birthday party on Saturday. It was very weird because my play area had the gates taken off and there was extra furniture there and my toys were all put up. Karen had a taco bar, and I ate as fast as Mommy could shovel food in my mouth. I never eat that much at home. Then I shared Mommy's piece of chocolate cake. I really wanted my own because hers was not big enough for the both of us, but I guess that I can't have everything I want. (I wanted to be born to learn that? What a gyp!) Then Logan, Maggie, and I played and danced to music. There was a big boy named Jared there who played with me too. I liked him--he seemed very nice, and he has a brother with my name. I got to bed 2 hours later than usual, but I took a 3 hour morning nap to make up for it. Mommy got a lot of packing done. (Have I told you, dear blog readers, that I am moving to NY? Mommy and I are going to live with Grandma and Grandpa for a while.) Anyway, that was a world record for a nap at home, and Mommy kept peeking in the window at me and asking Daddy questions like "You don't think he's dead, do you? He never naps this long! When will he wake up?"
Daddy did a very mean thing today. He brought me to where Mommy is working. I was super happy to see her--people even laughed when I made happy sounds! But then he took me away not even a minute later! I wanted to be with Mommy, and she looked at me sadly while I was crying and reaching for her and Daddy walked away with me.
Mommy is very mad at Daddy for making me upset and almost making her cry at work.
