Welcome to My Blog

I am four years old and, so far, an only child, but I am not spoiled. I think. Mommy tells me that I am lucky because I have many people who love me both on the West Coast and the East Coast.

Things I can do...

1) take garbage over to the cabinet under the sink, open it as far as it will go with the child safety locks on it, stick my arm in, and throw the garbage into the garbage can.

2) take my dishes to the dishwasher and go "uh" to Mommy until she opens it up and helps me put the dishes in.

3) take my spray on sunscreen container and aim it at my body and make a "psshhht" sound (I did that for the first time last night. Cracked my Mommy up so much she almost peed her pants.)

4)howl like my kitty Bacall does when she wants food.

Oh, by the way, Mommy and I left the baby shower early on Monday. It turns out that the yard was very small with lots of things that were dangerous to me. Mommy quickly got tired of telling me "no, don't touch that" and I quickly tired of hearing it! I got so frustrated that I started crying. Mommy asked me what I wanted to do, and I waved bye-bye. She asked "You want to go bye-bye?" to confirm that is what I intended to communicate. I said "Yesh". So we said our goodbyes just before the food was served and long before the presents were opened but I had had it. I was asleep in my bed about 30 minutes later. Mommy watched a DVD borrowed from the library with Snickers laying next to her on the couch.

what a weekend! Part 2

We left the park to go back to the cabin. Daddy started dinner while Mommy read some books to me. We had dinner, and I wanted to do some stuff, but they did not understand what. All of a sudden, it was 10:00! Mommy wanted to go to sleep, and she wanted me to go to sleep. I screamed every time they tried to put me in the pack n play. Mommy was already laying down. Daddy took me outside to show me the stars, but I just wanted Mom. So he brought me inside again, and I snuggled on the mattress with Mommy. After a while, she determined I was sleepy enough to go in the pack n play, so she put me there and went to sleep herself. Mommy and Snickers heard the coyote howling closeby at 2am, but Daddy and I were too busy sleeping. I got up at 6:30 as usual. Mom and I took Snickers for a little walk, and then we went back to find Daddy cutting up bacon to cook. Mommy explained that she did not have enough time for that, so she did not eat anything. She gave me some banana and cheese and milk, and then we got on the road. I soon fell asleep again. A half hour before reaching Sacramento, I woke up and cried. We went to a petsitting job. I like feeding the fish and giving the cats treats. Then we went home. That is when we found out that the big tree in our backyard is not so big anymore because 2 main branches came down. Mommy said Snickers or I could have been seriously hurt or worse if we were underneath it! What a mess! It is going to take a long time to clean that up. And Dad said the tree will have to come down completely. Gee, and our almond tree is dead too. We hung out for a while, and then I was sleepy so I took another nap after lunch. Dad got home around 3. Then we walked over to the shopping plaza (despite Mommy's injured toe). Grandpa's birthday is Friday, and Mommy wanted to get cards from her and from me to mail. We also got ice cream to share (chocolate chip!), and Dad bought me a little plastic pool for $7.49 plus tax at the hardware store. I bet we looked silly walking home because Daddy was carrying the pool over his head while holding onto Snickers' leash. I refused to get back into the stroller, so Mommy carried me on her hip while pushing the empty stroller. Luckily, it is not a far way to go. (Have to say, I love Mommy. Sometimes she is really a pushover. But she loves me more than anything, so you really can't fault her for that.) Mommy got me naked (except for my shoes--I insisted on my shoes), and we filled up the pool halfway. It was cold! I did not sit down, but I did walk in circles with Mommy. Snickers thought my pool was a great big water bowl. After I had enough, Mommy got me dressed and we had dinner and then I went to bed. Mommy then did laundry and dishes and got ready for the morning. Dad peeked in on me and said I am cute (duh!)
Today (Monday) Daddy starts his new job and so won't be back until Friday. He was sad (even cried yesterday) as he left this morning. Tonight Mommy will take me to a baby shower. My cousin Patrick and his fiancee Melissa are having baby Evangeline in August. I hope the shower is fun!

What a weekend!

I started off my weekend by being picked up early Friday afternoon from Marine's by Daddy. He took me and Snickers up to Aunt Rose's house. I got to see the donkeys that Aunt Rose just bought, and we had dinner with the family. Then Daddy took me and Snickers up to the family cabin. I had a hard time sleeping. First off, this was my first night without Mommy (and the cuddle/nurse/listen to my cd), and, second, Daddy did not bring my favorite blankie. I had to snuggle with my sippie cup instead. I am getting so tall that it is not easy to sleep in the pack n play anymore. Mommy got to the cabin Saturday morning at 11. I was so happy! I ran to her and grabbed her shirt. So we sat down, and I nursed. She was happy because she had blocked ducts for the first time in a long time. She was not happy that it was still so hot, but what can you do? I decided we all needed a walk after Daddy told Mommy the pool was not yet open due to maintenance issues. I grabbed the dog's leash and off we went. The neighbor was outside and apologized for the skunk smell. Apparently, there is a dead skunk in the ditch, and Animal Control still has not come out even though they have been called many times. I didn't care about the skunk, but Snickers did! We walked down to where the pool and playground is. Mommy thought I could play on the playground, but she forgot it is all metal equipment like she used to have to use when she was a kid. Forget the rust, I would burn my precious milky white skin! Mom remembers doing that when she was a kid-ouch! So we went back to the cabin. Dad said we should go to the creek at the nearby state park. Mom was getting hungry, and I was getting cranky. So Dad went to the grocery store and Mommy and I stayed behind. Mom nursed me and sang for a while and then put me in the pack n play. I cried for about 20 minutes, but she didn't come get me. She sat outside and read a book while Snickers sat next to her. After I did fall asleep (I guess I was tired after all!), she came inside and lay down on the mattress next to me and rested and read with Snickers laying alongside her. 2 hours goes by, and I awaken. We eat a bit, and then we go to the park. The water was COLD. I mean COLD! Mom and I did not have water shoes. Poor Mommy smashed one of her toes so badly on a rock. It swelled up and it looks horrible. As for me, I got used to the cold water and then had a blast. Even Snickers got in the water and he hates to get wet. I liked running and falling down the soft sand hills. That gave Daddy a figurative heart attack because there are rocks everywhere at the bottom of the hills. He took me out to where the current runs in the middle of the creek. I arched my back and squealed when I touched the water. This confused Mom and Dad because they thought that meant I did not like it, but I also fussed when Dad tried to bring me back to the shore.

A busy morning

I woke up at 6:30 as usual. Mommy is working late tonight, so she did not take a shower right away. It is going to be 105 degrees today, so she took Snickers and me on a walk while it is still cool (67 degrees) out. We were going past the park when I decided I wanted to play on the play equipment. So we ran around a bit and went down the big slide several times and the little slide once (I like the big slide better--Mommy always goes down with me). Then we went home and took a bath. Then Mom and I shared a big bowl of Rice Chex before I ran around naked in the back yard. Then we got dressed and Mommy took me to Marine's house. I fell asleep in the car seat, and I cried when Mommy put me down for a nap at Marine's. This all happened in 4 hours.

I like to walk my dog

Have I told you, dear readers, that I love to walk my dog? Oh yes I do! I get the leash and make sure Mommy is looking. Then I take the leash over to my dog and put the clip next to his collar. Mommy is smart and knew that meant that she needed to put the leash on him. Then I grabbed the other end, Mommy opened the front door, and we took a walk! At first, Snickers walked too fast and I kept falling. He soon got the hang of it though and walked at my pace. It was so much fun that first time, and we have done it several times since.

I now can blow kisses to my adoring public.

more on Monday

Yesterday, Mommy and I took Daddy out for breakfast at Perko's. Snickers and I got lots of attention for being so cute! I had toast and some of Mommy's omelette and some of Daddy's pancakes. Yum yum! Then we went home so I could nap before going to Aunt Teresa's house for the BBQ. I had so much fun at Teresa's! Many of my cousins were there, and Luke pushed me and Ian in the car, Aaron took me for a walk, Ian and I danced, Emma and Lydia played light sabers with me, phew! Oh, and Emma let me ride her scooter. We all went to the park to play volleyball. I did not play volleyball because I was tired and so I ran around and managed to knock over everyone's sodas instead. Mommy played with me until it was time to go back to Teresa's. By the time we got home it was after 9pm! And then I woke up crying around midnight. I finally got back to bed close to 2. I slept in an extra hour this morning, but poor Mommy didn't. I think she is a pretty special lady to be so sleep deprived for me.

Mondays

Well, let's see...how was my weekend? Mommy had a job interview on Friday. She was told that she would get a call on Monday about a second round of interviews on Tuesday. She has not heard as of 5:10 on Monday, so I guess she did not make the cut. I got another diaper rash with a bloody butt on Saturday. Needless to say, I was upset, Mommy was upset, Snickers was upset, and Daddy was upset once Snickers woke him up. I went to the doctor today (not my regular one) and she was so not helpful. She told Dad that I would be out of diapers in a year anyway so don't worry about it.

hello again

Well, let's see. Dad has ripped apart one of the bathrooms trying to get to look nicer. Right now, Mom says it is a mess. She won't let me see so I don't make a bigger mess. So I played with the toilet plunger instead. I get up on top of the doghouse and dance. Dad and I were bouncing up and down to "Who let the dogs out?" I like the "woof, woof" part. Mommy bought me new shoes today. I am now wearing a size 6. Daddy starts his new job on the 26th. That is the same day of my cousin's baby shower. I guess we will party without him. Mommy has a job interview tomorrow for a promotion. I think she should get it because she needs to keep me in shoes. Mommy found Auntie Steph's special milk at our local Albertson's, so guess who had some too? She also tried the mocha cappuccino flavor. She likes that a lot. Mommy and Daddy are going to get divorced. Mommy wants it to stay as nice as possible because Mommy loves me and Daddy loves me, and that is the important thing. I am not a toy to be fought over, and Mommy knows it.

Well that is all for now. Hope all the Dads out there have a nice day this Sunday. I am going to my aunt Teresa's for a BBQ for Grandpa after making Daddy breakfast in bed. I love my Grandpas! And hi Unky Keith!

I can say hi

I am kinda mad at blogger because I had lots of stuff to log but I cannot remember any of it. Except I was sick on Wednesday or was it Tuesday and I got another diaper rash, so I have been spending lots of time walking around diaperless.
I can say hi. I went with Mommy to vote on Tuesday. We voted for the county assessor who is my cousin something removed. I held Mommy's keys while she voted because that is an important job.

Party

My cousin's future stepdaughter's 5th birthday party was on Sunday. They held it in a park, and so many people were there! I ate lots and lots of watermelon-I chewed and spit out the rind even though Mommy said not to eat the rind. I also had potato salad, some of Mom's hamburger and some of Dad's hot dog, lot of chips and Fritos, some birthday cake, some veggies with dip, and probably more stuff but I forget. What was supercool was the bouncy house! After the big kids got out, I went in with Mommy, and I had so much fun!! I laughed and laughed no matter how many times I fell. I even ran from one side to the other and almost got all the way back when my cousin jumped near me and my legs went out sideways from under me. I just laughed and got up again. I even said "Whee!!!" And Terra got the most amazingly cool present:a Barbie Corvette with a working radio, seat belts, headlights, and it even goes! I wanted it so badly. I said "Wow." I got to spend a few minutes in it with the engine off, but then Terra said she wanted it. Later I tried to climb back in and I almost made it but Mommy said no. I was so tired that Mommy took me into Grandpa's motor home (aka the portapotty) and lay down with me. I only slept for 20 minutes because it was so hot (I was sweating bullets) and the party was too exciting. We left the party late, and I took another bath. And Mommy and I snuggled.

I cried at Marine's house because I did not want Mommy to go to work this morning. I hugged her so hard. Mommy cried as she handed me to Marine.

Woof woof

On Saturday, I went with Mommy to the Dog Agility trials. Karen was running with her doggies. Mom and I hung out with her and watched. It was a lot of fun, although I really wish that the other daycare kids were there. I miss them! Then we went home. When I was taking my bath, I splashed really hard. I even put my face in to blow bubbles a few times. Mommy said my feet were not PU since I washed them and she put nice lotion on them. I love my Mommy.
