I am four years old and, so far, an only child, but I am not spoiled. I think. Mommy tells me that I am lucky because I have many people who love me both on the West Coast and the East Coast.

Easter is confusing

So, why does a bunny hide eggs in kids' houses? Why do we color them? What does a bunny have to do with eggs? I thought chickens laid eggs. And what is this Easter? So what does a bunny have to do with Jesus?

Anyway, I spent easter with my dad's side of the family. When I got back to Mommy's house, I did do an Easter egg hunt. And got my chocolate bunny and pretzels and baseball glove and new ball. Mommy and Day want something called a "cornice" so I was watching and assisting Day with the nails and hammer. Day sounded quite pleased with himself when it was done, but Mommy says they still have to put the backing and the fabric on it before putting it up. Grandma and Grandpa are coming to visit next month, and Day wants all this stuff done before they get here. I'm glad I got to help.

Easter Eggs!

Mommy and I colored Easter eggs Wednesday night. I don't really understand why we were coloring eggs or why we were not immediately eating the pretty eggs. I don't know who the Easter Bunny is, and it did not make much sense when Mommy was trying to explain it. A bunny goes around the world and hides the eggs that I color in my house and leaves me candy and other goodies? That is weird enough without trying to connect it with Easter, a holy day in the Christian religion. Santa Claus I get. You bring presents because a kid has a birthday. Oh well.
