Welcome to My Blog

Name:
Location: Sacramento, California, United States

I am four years old and, so far, an only child, but I am not spoiled. I think. Mommy tells me that I am lucky because I have many people who love me both on the West Coast and the East Coast.

I am now one!

My big birthday party was on Sunday at Grandpa's house. 26 people showed up! We had pizza and chips and dip and salad and cake and ice cream! I played some with my cousins, but mostly I wanted Mommy to hold me. She fed me pizza and other stuff. Yum! I had a mylar balloon tied to the high chair. It was Winne the Pooh and said "Baby's first birthday". I love that thing. I bop it around. Then everyone sang a song while a candle was on the cake. Mommy blew it out since I didn't know I was supposed to. Then Daddy wanted to record it again, so I got a piece of cake with the candle in it (unlit) and they sang again. I put the candle in my mouth to lick off the frosting. Everybody thought that was funny. The other kids were calling out tips on how to eat the cake. I took the candle out of my mouth and ate the cake-yum! I got the frosting all over my face (and a little up my nose), but I kept my ears and hair clean. I ate the cake unlike some kids who just smear it around. Then I opened my presents, and soon after, Mommy took me home to bed.
My actual birthday: Mom took me to daycare as usual because I sleep well there. She had the day off (since she is on a different work schedule now) and she cleaned house and got my new toys together and stuff. She picked me up after my afternoon nap (she got to see my eat my snack), but I was so tired. She tried to help me play with my new toys. We ran around with the dog for a bit, and then we had dinner. And a little more cake. Then a bath and bed. I was cranky which made Mommy a little sad. She kept looking at the clock and telling me what happened the day I was born.. Oh well.
Now it is the day after my birthday. I had a good night's sleep. It is Libbey's (she is a daycare friend) birthday, so we will have a combined party this afternoon at daycare.

2 more things

Mommy got organic mac and cheese from Trader Joe's last night (can't wait to eat it), and I wanna give a big shout out to my:

Aunt Carolyn!!! She is having a birthday today. Don't let Grandma and Grandpa drive you crazy!

I love my Auntie Steph

I have not been posting much it is true. I am working hard at pushing my shopping cart (with chicken stock in the basket) around so I can practice walking. Mommy recognizes when I want to walk somewhere too, so I will hold onto her hands and walk to where I want to go. And I am getting taller! I can now pet my kitty cats when they are on the back of the couch if they are very close to the edge. I like bouncing in my crib too when I want to get out. I am enjoying my Fisher Price Incrediblock which Grandma and Grandpa bought me for Christmas. It is fun. Mommy doesn't know that I know that she bought more blocks for it for my birthday. She thinks that because I was in the stroller looking at other things that I didn't see her buy them, but I did. Mom and Dad are busy planning my birthday party this Sunday (I turn one on Monday!!). There are going to be people there that I have never met. We are going to go to the zoo after my morning nap, and then I will take my afternoon nap at Grandpa's while Mom and Dad clean and prep for the party. When I wake up, it's PARTY TIME! I am going to get a first cousin once removed in August (was it put back after it was removed? huh?), so now the next generation follows closely to the old one. Well, nap time. I heard that my fake cousin D lifted a table. I am not that strong yet, but I will need my nap so I can get there. :)

I clap for cheese

When Karen takes cheese out of the refrigerator, the other kids and I clap. What can I say? It is a good source of calcium, and I am a growing boy. I also say "woof woof" when I see my dog. I am having a birthday in less than 3 weeks. I am glad Christmas gave me an opportunity to learn how to open presents. I wouldn't want to be embarrassed! Now the next thing is learning how to blow out a candle. Grandma and Grandpa had a cake for my 11 month birthday while I was in NY since they won't be here for my official birthday. Mom helped me with that candle.

New Year

Hope everybody is enjoying the new year. I had a blast at Grandma and Grandpa's house in NY. I got to see a lot of relatives including my new cousin Jenna. I even went to New Hampshire to play with my cousin Andy and Aunt Carolyn. Uncle Brian was too busy throwing up to play--so sad! It was all over too soon though. I miss my grandparents and I know they miss me.
