I am four years old and, so far, an only child, but I am not spoiled. I think. Mommy tells me that I am lucky because I have many people who love me both on the West Coast and the East Coast.

Hello? How are you?

Mom wanted to call Grandma and Grandpa today, so she used her cell phone. Later, she put it down, so I picked it up, put it to my ear, and said "Hello?" Mommy laughed, and I laughed too. Then I put the phone back up to my ear and said something that sounded like "How are you?" to her. Mommy says I am a genius! As if there was ever any doubt!!!

Memo to Mom: Be careful what you wish for

Mommy said last week that she wished she could spend a minute inside my body to figure out what part(s) hurt so she could help me feel better. Well, I did her one better than that and just gave her some of my germs. So now she is coughing and sounding like a seal and her throat and ears hurt.

What is up with language anyway?

Even though I am quite accomplished at typing (ha ha), my verbal skills are too advanced for English. I talk A LOT, but very little of it is understood by anyone else. I did say "down" at Aunt Lisa's house when I wanted to get down and play after eating, but I haven't said it since. Then yesterday, I said "cat" while being babysat by Melissa at Aunt Dorothy's house. (On a sort of related note, my mom thinks that I called Grandma "An-ma" a few times while we were visiting.) So why am I saying these words clearly and appropriately (so much so that people wonder was it a figment of their imagination) only once? I don't know the answer to that. Mommy is working hard at keeping her language clean now, so that I don't pick up any bad words. I read in my buddy's blog that he speaks English in a French accent. That would be something! Bonjour Auntie Steph and Unky Keith! Hope D got some shorts that fit him.

Jenna is the Cheerio Man!

OK-I am back from NY. With a cold. I even went to see the doctor because Mommy and Grandma were so worried about me. I had a fever (getting a new tooth) and I was coughing (sounding like a seal) and tugging my ear (possible ear infection?). I also stopped eating much. Even bananas lost their appeal! The doctor said that I just had a cold and prescribed some Zyrtec.

I had great fun with Grandma and Grandpa. I gave them lots of hugs. Grandpa really likes wrestling on the front lawn--he is pretty silly! He also makes airplane noises when I am being fed. They spoiled me rotten I must say. Also, my cousins gave me some clothes that they have outgrown. I had so much fun playing with my cousins at Aunt Lisa's house. Andy and I liked playing with this ball machine that Jenna got for Christmas.

I got all dressed up at Easter. I even wore a bowtie! I did not like my shoes--Mommy could not get one of them on even so she said "Forget it!" I decided to make a fuss before the first reading at mass because it was my naptime and here I am in this big church with all these strangers....so Mommy took me out to the lobby and I ran around for the rest of mass. Then we went to Aunt Lisa's house and had some food and played. Then we went to Great-Aunt Mary's house for more food. She does not have the house child-proofed so Mommy was kept busy trying to keep me away from stuff. I am not used to stairs, so I flew out the back door onto the sun porch and landed on my belly on the throw rug. That took a few years off Mommy's life. Then I was stepping all over Aunt's Lisa's dog with his paralyzed leg. I didn't mean to step on him but he is big and was blocking my way! I took a lousy nap (that is what Mommy said--I think taking a nap is lousy no matter what!). Then Alex made up a song about his sister. It goes like this: "Cheerio Man/Cheerio Man/Jenna is the Cheerio Man!" That is pretty silly since Jenna is a little girl and isn't eating Cheerios yet. Mom spent a long time talking to her cousin Marty and Aunt Peg and Aunt Mary.

While Grandma and Grandpa went to Philadelphia for the day, Mom and I went to the library in town. I played with the puzzles and then I pulled a book about Morocco off the shelf. Mommy and I looked at the pictures for a while before we walked around the library. Then we went to Friendly's for dinner. I ate applesauce and crackers and shared Mommy's cheeseburger and Happy Ending sundae. They did not give us the right sundae, but that is okay. We ate it anyway.

Grandma and Grandpa babysat me while Mom went out with her high school friends one night. They really like babysitting. I fell asleep on Grandma--awwww...

We went to see Great-Uncle Gary's gravesite. It turns out that it is located in the same cemetary is where the Sisters of Mercy are buried. So we visited 2 of my great-great aunts, and Mom saw the gravesites of some of her high school teachers.

On our last day in NY, we went to breakfast with Aunt Lisa, Uncle Patch, Alex, Jenna, and Grandma and Grandpa at Cracker Barrel. Jenna and I got restless while waiting for food, so Aunt Lisa and Mommy walked around the store with us. Many people thought we were cute, of course. One lady asked if we were twins, but Mommy said we are cousins.

I miss Grandma and Grandpa now, and I know they miss me. My doggie missed me soooo much that he licked me all over and knocked me down 4 times! Mommy and Daddy are still looking for a daycare for me. It is hard to find good help these days!

My mommy is so proud...

I used my toothbrush for the first time by myself today! Mommy is so happy!

Turn around to the music!

I amused the parental units by turning on my music toy and then turning in circles dancing to the songs. (I especially like "B-I-N-G-O") Mom and Dad thought it looked like so much fun that they danced in circles too! (Copycats!)

We went to a Scottish Gathering at a place where Daddy might get a job. Daddy said the gathering was lame since not many people were there. However, I did not nap well and kept taking off my shoes and socks in the stroller. Then I wanted to get down, so Mommy let me walk all over the grass in my bare feet. It was fun. I even sat down and played with rocks for a while. Then we had the long car ride home. I did not nap long at all, so Mommy tried to find ways to amuse me. It turns out that I laughed like crazy when she made pretend vomiting noises. I don't why that struck me as funny, but it did. She even called Grandma on her cell phone because she thought Grandma might enjoy hearing me laugh like crazy. Then we stopped at a Hometown Buffet. It was then that Mommy noticed I had a fever. I ate a little carrots, salmon, and mac n cheese. Then she gave me some fruit cocktail. Then I stole a couple of those corn dog thingies off Daddy's plate. Then Mommy let me have a little of her apple pie a la mode. When we got home, Mommy tried to take my temperature, but I fought her. Since the reading was already at 101, she figured that was good enough even though it was not done. So I got some Tylenol and tucked into bed. I still was not feeling good on Sunday, so Mommy and I stayed home and played.

3 days until I go on a plane to see my Mommy's people. I hear we are going to my great-aunt Mary's house for Easter dinner. Yum! And Grandma wants a picture of me taken with my cousins just like last year except now we are bigger and Jenna is outside my aunt. :)

What is constipation?

Mommy says I am constipated. I did not poop at all yesterday, and today I had round pellet poop. There is a virus going around daycare that makes the grownups have diarrhea and the kids vomit. Karen's son threw up, so she closed daycare yesterday. I was not feeling so great myself. Mommy thinks I had a fever, but I would not let her take my temperature. I also was not eating like I usually do. I just wanted boob juice, and I cried a lot. Mommy tried to make me drink prune juice this morning-yeah right, Mommy! I made HER drink it instead because she thought that I would copy her if she did. Ha ha

I am going to wear a hand-me-down outfit from my cousin Alex for Easter. Mommy says it's a good thing to not spend money if you don't have to. Unless it is non-fat light whip mochas at Starbuck's or Java City! :)

I had an interview at a daycare today. I played a lot, but the 2 girls who were there took a lot of the lady's time although she seemed really nice and her dogs were cool. I tried to share a toy with one of them, but the gate was in the way. I also liked the daycare Mommy took me to yesterday. The kids were fun to play with.
