Welcome to My Blog

I am four years old and, so far, an only child, but I am not spoiled. I think. Mommy tells me that I am lucky because I have many people who love me both on the West Coast and the East Coast.

update

Hey, guess what? I am going to be a big brother in January! I can't decide whether I want a brother or a sister. I guess it is not up to me. In other news, Mom enrolled me in preschool. I start in September, and I can't wait! The classrooms have computers, and I really want to use one! Mom bought me a pirate backpack with a matching lunchbox that has my initials on them. I want to use them so badly! I keep telling Mom to put food in my lunchbox but she tells me I have to wait until I am going to school. I am also taking an 8 week soccer class. It is so much fun. Day bought me a soccer ball, shin guards, shoes, a water bottle, and a sack to keep them all in. So cool! (And Day also bought a booster seat for me so I can ride in his car, too. I love my new seat, and I love riding in Red! (Day's car))

Next month I am going back East to visit Grandma and Grandpa. We are also spending a week with Henry and Fran. Henry has a big birthday party, and we are also going to take trips like a day in Cape Cod and to Rhode Island where Day and Henry grew up. I can't wait to use Henry's pool and sit on the riding mower with him again.

Easter is confusing

So, why does a bunny hide eggs in kids' houses? Why do we color them? What does a bunny have to do with eggs? I thought chickens laid eggs. And what is this Easter? So what does a bunny have to do with Jesus?

Anyway, I spent easter with my dad's side of the family. When I got back to Mommy's house, I did do an Easter egg hunt. And got my chocolate bunny and pretzels and baseball glove and new ball. Mommy and Day want something called a "cornice" so I was watching and assisting Day with the nails and hammer. Day sounded quite pleased with himself when it was done, but Mommy says they still have to put the backing and the fabric on it before putting it up. Grandma and Grandpa are coming to visit next month, and Day wants all this stuff done before they get here. I'm glad I got to help.

Easter Eggs!

Mommy and I colored Easter eggs Wednesday night. I don't really understand why we were coloring eggs or why we were not immediately eating the pretty eggs. I don't know who the Easter Bunny is, and it did not make much sense when Mommy was trying to explain it. A bunny goes around the world and hides the eggs that I color in my house and leaves me candy and other goodies? That is weird enough without trying to connect it with Easter, a holy day in the Christian religion. Santa Claus I get. You bring presents because a kid has a birthday. Oh well.

Bad babyjammer!

Last night was fun....I had about 20 minutes with Mommy and Day before Daddy picked me up. Thanks to daylight savings and spring, it was warm and light enough to be outside. So we all grabbed an airplane from my room and we zoomed around the yard. We took turns being the good guy and bad babyjammers! We played hide and seek, too, by hiding behind the trees and bushes and mailbox.

long time

Hey, my last post was December 2006. I have grown up a lot since then. I hate haircuts, I have a stepfather (his name is John but I call him Day), and so much more!

Mommy is on the public computers trying to tame the wild beasts

I now say "please" or something resembling that. I also do motions to "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" that I learned at Marine's house. Mommy knows that I am getting a Spiderman bike (from Mom) and a Spiderman scooter (from Aunt Lisa and Aunt Carolyn) for Christmas. Grandma and Grandpa are getting me a basketball set. I am also getting safety equipment for my bike. And Playdoh. I think the wooden puzzles are for my birthday.
For the first time, I parroted back to my mother something she says. She wanted to change my diaper, so I stood there and said "nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh". Apparently, she learned that from Grandma. :)
Hi Auntie Steph!

Sorry to be so long...

Mommy and I have been pretty sick. We did go to Fairytale Town for the first time. That was fun. We are now members. Also, I went to my grandpa H.'s birthday party. Happy Birthday to my mom and cousin Ian tomorrow! We have spent a lot of time at the park too. And I am getting better eating with utensils. I really love apples. And Uncle Chris' lasagna (I licked the plate!). I am getting really good with pointing to my body parts. I added toes to the list although Mommy says "piggies" so I don't think she is saying "nose" when she says "toes". 5 more getups until Mommy and I are hanging with my NY peeps.
